Writing: Each day a mini-lesson is taught to the class. (For example capitals and periods) The student then goes to the desk and works on a ‘working copy”. They put it in their corresponding writing folder pocket. The next day the student can write anew piece or continue the piece of today. During this time, the teacher is conferencing with one student or a group of students about their writing.
